I shudder to think of the people who have to stay in the rooms close to it. The elevator screeches and clangs and grinds when it gets to the 4th floor. I wish it wasn't raining and we realized this when we pulled up, because we would have parked just down the street for much much much less. The icing on the cake was that the only parking offered was mandatory $48 a night. The pet-friendly hotel offers rooms with free WiFi. Thank God there was a small bar of hand soap we could use in the shower. This historic 1851-era Savannah Hotel Indigo is 479 feet from River Street shopping and dining district. Not only does the front door smell like a urinal, but the hand soap, hand lotion, shampoo, conditioner and body wash all smell horrid. However, we won't come back here when we visit again in just a few weeks. Roosevelt checked us in and was great! We loved that this location is within walking distance of River Street which is where we spent most of our time. 0.1 miles from Hotel Indigo Savannah Historic District, an IHG Hotel.
